Glass Towers have experienced an extraordinary 18 months, with February single "Jumanji" propelling them to the top of Triple J and radio playlists. The band have toured with the likes of Dappled Cities, Loon Lake and Neil Finn’s Pajama Club.
Originally born as a solo recording project of front man Ben Hannam, Glass Towers were forged in the summer of 2008 with the addition of guitarist Sam Speck, bassist Cameron Holdstock and drummer Daniel Muszynski.
The past couple of years have seen the band walk a path of highs, from having ARIA Award winning producer, Wayne Connolly, on their 2011 debut EP, "What We Were, When We Were", to earning spots at festivals including Splendour In The Grass.
Now off the back of a sold-out national tour with Loon Lake, Sydney’s Glass Towers are proud to announce an all-new single, "Tonight" – available Friday 7th September on HUB The Label (Dappled Cities, Winter People).
Produced by Jean Paul Fung (Bluejuice, Last Dinosaurs), the single is the latest to be taken from their forthcoming EP, "Collarbone Jungle" – due late September – and will be supported by a string of headline tour dates.
“The song itself isn’t just a single sonic snapshot, conceptually it is made up of a multitude of my own experiences, of all the house parties I went to when I was in high school. In a way Tonight is a form of tribute.” founding member and vocalist Benjamin Hannam explains about the song.
