Reed in the Moonlight: The Spiritual Landscape inside the Poet of the Piano, Wang Jun Jei, released in November 2008, is a wholly new creation that aims to instill a sense of peace and the serenity, allowing the soothing effect to seep into the audience. This recording features not only 7 piano pieces that creates a warm, enveloping atmosphere of tranquility, but also three touching songs created with the harpist Li Zhe Yi’s first foray into song arrangement. Two of these are Wang’s affectionate creations for his daughter, and the other is a collaboration with his wife that results in a dialogue of poem and song.
