by Jason BirchmeierAlong with Suga T and Lady of Rage, Sh'Killa stood as one of the few female rappers amid the '90s West Coast gangsta scene. She recorded an album, Gangstrez From da Bay (1996), for G.W.K. Records that fellow West Coast gangstas Havoc & Prodeje produced. Gangstrez From da Bay benefited from the wide distribution of Priority Records, who where the prime movers of West Coast gangsta rap at the time, but the album never found much commercial success.
