本名Lockett Pundt，Deerhunter的吉他手，2009年3月推出首張個(gè)人專(zhuān)輯「The Floodlight Collective」，音樂(lè)受My Bloody Valentine、Stereolab、Roxy Music等影響。專(zhuān)輯所有創(chuàng)作是透過(guò)Lockett在臥室以電腦4軌錄制的成品，專(zhuān)輯名稱(chēng)源自L(fǎng)ockett高中時(shí)期與Bradford Cox (Atlas Sound)及共同朋友一起組過(guò)的玩票性質(zhì)樂(lè)團(tuán)團(tuán)名。專(zhuān)輯內(nèi)所有樂(lè)器由Lockett伴奏，除一曲”Different Mirrors”由Bradford Cox執(zhí)鼓棒客串。
本性害羞的Lockett在Deerhunter一直是個(gè)默默無(wú)言、漫不經(jīng)心地彈奏樂(lè)器，只需專(zhuān)注盯著腳下的聲效踏板的角色。實(shí)則Deerhunter渡過(guò)不安的早期樂(lè)團(tuán)生涯，在Lockett 2005年加入后，似乎也替樂(lè)團(tuán)某部份曲風(fēng)定了調(diào)。從Deerhunter第二張專(zhuān)輯開(kāi)始參與，Lockett為樂(lè)團(tuán)貢獻(xiàn)4首令人印象深刻的獨(dú)力創(chuàng)作，分別是：”Like New” (Fluorescent Grey EP ‘07)、”Strange Light” (Cryptograms ‘07) 和”Agoraphobia”(主唱)、”Neither of Us, Uncertainly”、”Dot Gain”，末三首出自’08年「Microcastle / Weird Era Cont. 」雙碟版。就”Strange Light”和”Dot Gain”可以聽(tīng)出非常Lotus Plaza式的風(fēng)格，不難聯(lián)想他的solo作何以呈現(xiàn)幻視般的延續(xù)漸層重疊音色，極度渙散猶如封面照過(guò)度曝光的花白光點(diǎn)，一如樂(lè)團(tuán)風(fēng)格充滿(mǎn)懷舊傷感，也以他超脫空間的迷幻吉他聲線(xiàn)讓樂(lè)團(tuán)擺脫首張專(zhuān)輯狂亂脫序的節(jié)拍，讓Deerhunter的punk/garage主干更觸及純?nèi)恢X(jué)體驗(yàn)的聲音旋弛氛圍實(shí)驗(yàn)。
Lotus Plaza is the solo project of American musician Lockett Pundt (born October 7, 1982), guitarist and multi-instrumentalist of Atlanta-based indie rock group Deerhunter. Pundt joined Deerhunter in 2005 as a guitarist. He is also the best friend of Deerhunter vocalist Bradford Cox. His debut album as Lotus Plaza, The Floodlight Collective, was released March 23, 2009 on CD and vinyl. Pundt has cited his greatest musical influences as being Stereolab, My Bloody Valentine, and Roxy Music, &on a subliminal level.&
