1997年夏天樂隊成立于美國佛羅里達州的Coral Springs一支混合了朋克與情緒硬核搖滾樂的五人樂隊成員包括主唱Jordan Pundik吉他手Chad Gilbert和Steve Klein貝斯手Ian Grushka以及鼓手Cyrus Bolooki1998年New Found Glory樂隊發(fā)行了首張EP唱片It s All About the Girls2001年New Found Glory樂隊回到錄音室開始錄制新專輯Sticks and Stones這張專輯在隨后的2002年夏天正式發(fā)行結果這張專輯發(fā)行首周全美售出了9萬1千張在Billboard 200排行榜上高居第四位并且最終銷量接近白金
