The Primitives

The Primitives是來自英國(guó)考文垂（英國(guó)中部城市）的一個(gè)樂隊(duì)。組建于1985年的夏天(七月)，由Kieron (主唱), Paul Court (配音、吉他獅子座), Steve Dullaghan (貝斯射手座) 和 Pete Tweedie (鼓手星座不明).但Kieron的主唱位置沒多久就被Tracy Tracy(獅子座)所取代。
The Primitives樂隊(duì)是當(dāng)時(shí)80年代最令人發(fā)狂的樂隊(duì)之一.樂隊(duì)豎立了他們自己的音樂標(biāo)志，Lazy Records。然后成功的完成了他們第一支單曲"Thru The Flowers"(是混合了泡泡糖搖滾舞曲流行的反應(yīng))在英國(guó)的巡回演出。緊隨著，另一支單曲"Really Stupid"，很快又在中學(xué)生和高中生中廣受歡迎。而且?guī)椭怂麄冊(cè)讵?dú)立音樂領(lǐng)域里面獨(dú)樹一幟，也使更多人喜歡上了他們的音樂。像個(gè)慣性，第三支單曲 "Stop Killing Me"，他們就已經(jīng)確立在英國(guó)獨(dú)立搖滾中的地位。
1987年The Primitives簽約了RCA唱片公司，但是他們?nèi)匀槐３种箲械囊魳凤L(fēng)格和態(tài)度。
1988年早期，The Primitives吵嚷的吉他，盛傳遍了整個(gè)英國(guó)。當(dāng)由RCA唱片公司首次為The Primitives推出了單曲"Crash"，著名的“獨(dú)立流行單曲”。很快成為當(dāng)時(shí)的 UK Top 5。附隨著，很快單曲"Lovely",也為了 UK Top 10。但是這樣的形式被一些偶然的事情所暫停，1987年RCA唱片公司的Tig Williams嚴(yán)厲的趨走了鼓手Pete Tweedie(也有些說是因?yàn)門racey的貓,太多的貓煩到了Tweedie!當(dāng)然,也許并沒有誰知道原因).然后1988年Steve Dullaghan堅(jiān)決的說他已經(jīng)彈夠了貝斯(原話是'enough was enough of playing bass')他要求彈吉他. ..1989年P(guān)ete Tweedie又回到了樂隊(duì),但僅僅是為了一起拍廣告片Sick of it而已啦..同一年Andy Hobson加入了樂隊(duì),代替了原來的貝斯手Dullaghan..
后來的單曲，仿效了成功的"Crash"，但是遭失敗，專輯里也只少有一些純粹的音樂部分成功。The Primitives樂隊(duì)在八十年代末期到美國(guó)發(fā)展，但很快又返回了英國(guó)，并為第二張專輯創(chuàng)作，希望著有一天能重新有那些brief glory days。 Dullahan和 Tweedie當(dāng)時(shí)都已經(jīng)加入了 Hate樂隊(duì)。然后Hobson擔(dān)任了短暫的貝斯的位置，1989年又被Paul Sampson所取代。后來，當(dāng)銷售量徹底地失敗，1991年the Primitives解散了。
British indie pop band the Primitives was formed in Coventry, England in mid-1985 by singer Kieron, guitarist Paul Court, bassist Steve Dullaghan, and drummer Pete Tweedie; after a handful of gigs Kieron was replaced by vocalist Tracy Tracy, a peroxide-blonde bombshell whose presence inspired a more melodic approach, which earned the group inevitable comparisons to Blondie. The Primitives debut single Thru the Flowers appeared on their own Lazy label in 1986 and was quickly followed by radio sessions for Janice Long, Andy Kershaw, and John Peel. Their second effort, Really Stupid, preceded the bands first European tour, with Stop Killing Me appearing in early 1987. Tweedie was dismissed from the group (allegedly for mistreating Tracys cats) prior to the Primitives signing to major label RCA, and with new drummer Tig Williams the group recorded their 1988 debut LP, Lovely, scoring a major UK pop hit with the masterful Crash. After completing an American tour, Dullaghan exited the lineup, with bassist Paul Sampson stepping in for 1989s Pure; the album failed to recreate the success and excitement of its predecessor, however, and when 1991s Ian Broudie-produced Galore met a similar fate, the Primitives disbanded.
