She graduated from the famous Juilliard School in New York City as a scholarship student on violin.
While most of her late material are covers, up to her second album she played almost exclusively original songs.
解剖TGK（The Great Kat縮寫(xiě)）TGK原名KATHERINE THOMAS，出生在英國(guó)斯威頓，3歲時(shí)移民美國(guó)。她從出生就開(kāi)始聽(tīng)貝多芬，自幼立志成為音樂(lè)的革命者，她7歲開(kāi)始學(xué)習(xí)古典鋼琴，9歲時(shí)開(kāi)始系統(tǒng)演奏古典小提琴，15歲開(kāi)始到紐約著名的朱莉亞音樂(lè)舞蹈戲劇學(xué)院先修部學(xué)習(xí)，在校期間任JUILLIARD PRE-COLLEGE管弦樂(lè)團(tuán)首席小提琴。后進(jìn)入學(xué)院小提琴專業(yè)部，并獲全額獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。畢業(yè)后曾在卡內(nèi)基音樂(lè)廳舉行古典小提琴個(gè)人演奏音樂(lè)會(huì)，并且在美國(guó)，南美，以及歐洲獲得多項(xiàng)國(guó)際性藝術(shù)成就獎(jiǎng)。
