Days (not to be confused with the Danish rock group of the same name) are a sweet twee pop affair that came together in Gothenburg, Sweden, when Fabian Sahlqvist, John Ludvigsson, Andreas Uppman, and Philip Gates met as teenagers. Using Sahlqvist's parents' basement as a rehearsal space, the band went on to make scores of cassette tape demos that nodded to jangly influences like the Orchids, the Go-Betweens, and the Field Mice. Days were eventually picked up by Portland, OR's Shelflife Records, and their debut EP, Downhill, was released on that label in 2008.
