Dr. Rik Pfenninger is currently Professor of Music and Director of Jazz Studies and Music Technology at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire. Rik received his Bachelor of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music, his Master of Music degree in Woodwinds from the University of Michigan, and his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Temple University. Rik's musical composition credits include: The Warner Bros. Network's "Survival of the Rich and Famous', PBS network's "The Difference Between Right and Wrong", commercials for Xerox, Ski New Hampshire and WMUR TV, The WMUR New Hampshire Chronicle, Rowntree Film production's "The Diary", The Weather Channel, numerous independent documentary, commercial, and website projects, music for the Princess Cruise Lines Christmas CD, and the soundtrack for an educational CD ROM titled "The Hereford Mappundi" published by the University of Michigan Press. Rik's six solo jazz recordings can also be heard on Apple itunes and MusicMine Records of South Korea. Pfenninger's compositions include jazz, Latin, and orchestral music.
